What great books these "ramblings" will make some day! I had several older ladies in my old age caseload when I worked at Public Aid in Illinois. They wrote several books and I received copies. They are packed up somewhere. They told stories of going out as farm girls who lived thru the depressions having fun while they do some kind of chores; baskets of blackberries, poison ivy in the flower garden, the bull chasing them all over the fields, seeing baby animals born, and fishing and hunting for foods and herbs. Wonderful stories!
The other wrote about her family, siblings, and aunts & uncles visits and parties. It was hilarious! Old Tom Moore wrote poetry and was published at some point. I'm not sure if he worked at Quincy College. His grandson, is now the mayor of Quincy, IL, Kyle Moore! His mother, Janice Rokita- Moore- Kelly, and I worked together for over 30 years.
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00856118645137187007noreply@blogger.com
